Today was just about as perfect a day as you could have on the Camino.
The climb was tough, but exhilarating. Walking high into the clouds, it was so beautiful and peaceful. Though it's difficult to imagine it could be relaxing climbing steeply for most of the day, that's how it felt.
And there high on the mountains, cows and horses seemingly roaming free. I guess they belong to someone, but with no houses or people in sight they were a long way from home. The only structures we passed were the ruins of three pilgrim hospitals and the 15th century chapel and hospital at Montefurado.
I can't write much more tonight as the connection is weak and it has taken ages to upload the photos. I don't think they can capture how special it was, but it's the best I can do. Like so many special days on my other Caminos, this one will stay in my memory for sure.
Before I sign off, a special hi to Jan, Judy, Rosanne and Helen C. So lovely to hear from you.
Muchas gracias. Merci beaucoup. Hasta luego. A bientot.

G;day Jenny - If it is going fantastic uphill, imagine how great it will be going downhill !! Sounds like been a few solid days of walking and climbing- but rewarded with stunning scenery and tremendous countryside. Saturday morning here and just wandered down to Crows Nest to have a campo's coffee - not a horse or cow in sight!! Keep making the most of each day and enjoying it all one step at a time....best wishes and warm regards
